Applications
Retail POS:
The mID can be either an external add-on or embedded at the point of sale (POS). Placed at the fixed POS, the mID accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. Mobile handsets are presented at the mID to pay for a customer's purchases and no time is wasted looking for cards or receiving change. Merchants will have a new market available to them and customers will have a fast, simple, and secure payment option. It's a whole new world.
Tickets:
A ticket application will allow mobile handset users to hold and redeem their tickets through their personal mobile handset. Whether it is a ticket for a bus or train, to a concert, a sporting event, a boarding pass, or a movie – by simply presenting a mobile handset to the mID, the ticket can be authenticated and redeemed. Save trees, use the mID.
ATM:
ATM machines are no longer just for bank cards – ATMs can also withdraw cash from a person's bank account when one presents their mobile handset to the mID enabled ATM. The process is similar: a user presents their mobile handset, enters their personal PIN code, the mID identifies and authenticates, and they receive their cash. Easy as 1, 2, 3.
Parking:
Whether payment or subscriber entrance permission is required at a parking garage entrance or before one departs, a mID enabled parking payment machine simplifies and quickens the overall process. Enabling a mobile payment system convenient for the parking garage and its customers means there is less waiting time at entries and departures and faster overall transactions. From parking garages, to the municipalities' street parking, to bridge tolls, to privately owned parking lots – mID enabled applications can be designed to simplify the process for both property owners and customers. Ready, set, go.
Vending Machine:
Vending machines have evolved from only accepting coins to accepting bills to accepting credit cards. The next step? mID enabled vending machines. Through this application, mobile handset users simply need to present their mobile handset to the mID, wait while their handset is identified and authenticated, and then receive the goods. Paying for drinks, snacks, laundry machines, cigarettes, lottery tickets, and more, could not be any easier. Small change not required.
Mobile POS:
A mobile point of sale (POS) application will allow merchants the ability to bring the POS to their customer. From tables at a restaurant to cars at a gas/petrol station, a Mobile POS application is a portable system. Merchants simply punch in the transaction amount through the keypad, the customer sees the total on the mini-LCD screen, the customer presents the mobile handset to the mID, the handset is identified then authenticated, and a receipt is printed off. Mobile POS applications have a wide range of potential uses and an even greater range of benefits. Paying a bill has never been this fun.
Access Control:
Homeowners, companies, offices, universities, libraries, etc. can enforce an Access Control application which can protect themselves by using AcCells' mID. Their entryways can be programmed with mIDs to only grant access to specific mobile handset identities. This application can designate certain days or hours when an individual may or may not be granted access to a residence. Access granted.
